Maverick was our pick puppy from Matteo x Onyx litter from my friend Belinda Rhoads of Oakhurst Aussies, and was evaluated the pick male from the litter. We should say, Maverick picked us at about six weeks of age! We were searching for a show dog first and foremost as well as a dog that could do performance work, and found that in this boy!

Maverick won his first Best Puppy win and shortly after was Winners Dog for a major, owner-handled. Maverick then went with our friends and handler Jillayne Karras and Andy Parnell to show and finished in two short weekends winning with all majors. Maverick came home and started working on performance sports. We shortly learned that Maverick LOVES to use his nose and loves to search for things! Maverick has been working in scent work and barn hunt. Maverick grew up and filled out more then went back out to work towards his Grand Championship and finished that in a few short weekends also. Maverick is working towards his scent work titles and some barn hunt titles. Maverick loves to go for rides in the truck or four wheelers with his Mom or Dad (mostly his Dad!) He loves to help keep an eye on the chickens when they are out running around. We will be working towards his next step in his Grand Championship as Maverick LOVES to show and has the most expressive face, lovely movement and strong topline.
