About Layla
The dog who started it all.
Our interest in Australian Shepherds started when one came into the first clinic where I worked as a veterinary technician. I fell in love with his personality and overall structure, and we knew we wanted to get involved in training, performance sports, and dabble in the show ring.
Our first Australian Shepherd came from a local breeder who has since passed away. Layla was truly an amazing dog and taught us so much about the breed and how versatile Australian Shepherds can be. She worked my family's cows, helped in the field, and went trail riding. She was also wonderful in obedience and agility.
Layla retired early and spent most of her time going to work with Mom or visiting our family's cow farm. She oversaw everything from the yard or the porch.
